About Hilton Gatwick.

Hilton London Gatwick approached MY ZEERO partner, GCI Ltd, to assist them in reducing energy consumption at their hotel, with focus on the hotel’s main plant facilities for the various common areas. Before any work could be considered, there was a need to fully understand exactly how the energy was currently being used. GCI Ltd created a tailored solution, including the MY ZeERO Global Energy Management (GEM) service which allowed them to see exactly when and where they were spending money.

What did we do for Hilton Gatwick?

MY ZEERO supplied five Power Distribution Monitors (PDM) to monitor 54 individual circuits that supply electrical power to the extractor fans, boiler controls and water pumps, as well as the building’s two main chillers.

The PDMs collect this data and send it to the MeasureMyEnergy cloud platform, where it is easily accessed and displayed within the GEM portal.

The Results.

The ability for multiple users to visit the portal allowed the Facilities Management team to quickly and easily identify patterns or concerns with the electrical power consumption of individual items.

Overall, the project has seen Hilton London Gatwick reduce consumption by over 27%.
